AAP raises concern over high unemployment rate in State

PANAJI
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that the latest report by Centre for monitoring Indian economy has exposed Chief Minister Pramod Sawat on how badly he is managing the affairs of the state that it has dipped very low in the unemployment figures.

AAP Goa convener Rahul Mhambre pointed out that as per the CMIE report Goa is the third highest state with unemployment in the entire country and this is truly alarming he said while pointing out that Dr Pramod Sawant has totally failed to attract any new investment.

He argued that the three linear projects against which Goans from every nook and corner are protesting will convert Goa into a coal hub and that will be the end of the tourism industry in the State as nobody would want to visit a coal dust covered Goa instead of the prime and pristine land that it is at present.

Dr Pramod Sawant’s promise of providing 10 thousand jobs shortly is nothing but a sham just to fool the people on the eve of elections and none of these jobs will materialize once the elections are held next year, he said.

Rahul opined that may be Chief Minister Pramod Sawant wants to promote agriculture in a big way by starting ganja farming in Goa and hopes to provide jobs to 10 thousand people in not only planting but also harvesting and marketing the ganja grown in Goa.
