Utpal says he is not backing any panel for CCP elections

PANAJI
Refuting all rumours about supporting anti-BJP panel, Utpal Parrikar has clarified that he is not backing any panel for the upcoming Corporation of City of Panaji polls.

Utpal, son of late former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, said he will be supporting individuals who he knows on a personal level.

Utpal has said that he has extended his personal support to a few candidates for CCP elections based on their work. He said that the candidates will not be able to use his support on public platform.

"Some poeple want to use Parrikar's name and are mischievously circulating my name with anti-bjp panel. I don't want to go against party. I would have gone against the party when a decision against me was taken during te assembly elections", said Parrikar.

Utapal ruled out that he has rebelled against the party but claimed, “my stand is that, I have not supported any of the panel.”  While stating that he has many grievances about the functioning in the party, Utpal said that he has has raised his objections with the BJP president.
