After launching various initiatives to serve people during the Covid crisis, the Aam Aadmi Party has now started free food parcel service for relatives of the patients admitted at three of the largest Covid hospitals in Goa.

State convenor Rahul Mhambre informed that the need for this service was identified by the party volunteers when they visited various hospitals to deliver oxygen cylinders.

“Due to lockdown restrictions, many of the restaurants are shut and public transportation has also been affected. Our volunteers noticed the tremendous inconvenience being faced by the already distressed relatives of Covid patients and immediately swung into action”.

Program coordinator and Youth Wing leader Shripad Pednekar informed that Godwin Fernandes, Ritesh Shenai, Manuel Cardoso and Irfan have already started the food service with convenor Rahul Mhambre at North Goa District Hospital in Mapusa since Sunday, while Pratima Coutinho, Sandesh Telekar and Lincoln Vaz have started the food service at South Goa District Hospital from Tuesday. Pednekar informed that Valmiki Naik, Nikhil Haldankar and Hamid will be starting the service at GMC Bambolim later on Tuesday.
