In continuance of its pre-Lok Sabha work, the Aam Aadmi party on Friday visited the Curdi village in Sanguem, where residents have been hit badly by the mining ban in the state. The village also faces a severe water shortage.

Speaking to a small crowd of people - estimated to be around 100 - that gathered to hear what the AAP leaders had to say, AAP leader for environment Sidharth Karapurkar explained how the community as a whole would benefit from sustainable mining.

Meanhwile, AAP convenor for Goa Elvis Gomes pointed out the lies and deception of the BJP, and told the people how the BJP had been a “misfit” in Goa where the “religion of unity and harmony” held more weight than an individual’s religion. Asked Elvis addressing the people, “Do talukas like Sanguem, Quepem, Canacona and Sattari which are economically backward even exist for the government once elections are over?”

Gomes promised that if voted to power, the AAP would work for the people and resolve a host of issues plaguing them.
