The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday slammed both BJP and MGP, accusing them of playing 'ringa ringa roses' with the fate of the State and challenged BJP to open a probe into the corruption in the PWD and Transport Department over the last four years.
Addressing a press conference, AAP's Dr Oscar Rebello accused both BJP and MGP of being power hungry.
"Parrikar, Parsekar and the Dhavalikars will surely rejoin hands to satisfy their power addiction and they hardly care for the State and its people. With Manohar Parrikar as the ringmaster, politicians of every hue in Goa have been cosily running their private politics of commerce for decades leaving the people helpless and cheated,” Dr Rebello said.
"AAP has over the last two weeks raised the strong suspicion of the Transport Department's involvement in laundering black money through the RTO's treasury. The case of suspension of an SBI officer who incidentally is the spouse of an RTO officer is fresh in public memory," he added.
"Does the Crime Branch have the gumption to probe Dhavalikar's link?" he questioned further.
He also said that Parsekar's action of sacking the Dhavalikar brothers is not convincing.
"The fixer and political blackmailer that he is, Dhavalikar's sole purpose in politics is to corner power and loot Goa's exchequer through the default corruption channel of PWD and Transport Departments," he said, further pointing out that it was not a mere coincidence that Sudin Dhavalikar held the PWD portfolios in both the Congress and BJP government.
The AAP has sought a thorough probe into the allegedly corrupt functioning of PWD and Transport Department while at the same time reiterating its commitment to sweep politics of double-faced, corrupt, career politicians and offer a new brand of honest governance.
