AAP withdraws support to Gaude

The Aam Aadmi Prty on Sunday withdrew its support to independent candidate in Priol Govind Gaude after Gaude not only accepted the support of the BJP but also shared the dais with BJP at a press conference.
In a brief statement released to the media, the AAP said, “The AAP cannot compromise on the issue of communalism and has therefore taken this strong stand to withdraw support for Gaude’s candidature.”
The party had earlier announced that it was supporting Gaude as a winnable independent candidate. However, a few days later, Gaude was seen at the BJP office and also accepted support virtually becoming its candidate.
