Proclaimed offender Sayyed Javed Khan “ wanted in three cases of sex trafficking - was arrested by the police on Friday.
The Women police arrested the accused, who also goes by the name Sahed Javed Khan aka Ravi aka Munna, after an intensive search following an extensive search as he evaded court trials.
Superintendent of Police (Women PS) Bossuet Silva informed that Khan also has three cases registered under Indian Penal Code at the Old Goa PS. The other three cases under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act are registered at the Crime Branch and Women Police Station.
“The accused was not attending trials after which the Court issued a non-bailable warrant against him. He had dodged the enforcement agencies for several months, however, our Women Police Station team located him based on technical surveillance. He was arrested from Marcel and will face action as per the law,” the officer said.
