Notorious drug dealer Prasad Walke has come under the scrutiny of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), as its officials have sought details about the accused pertaining to a case registered in 2018.
Early Tuesday morning, Walke was arrested by Anti Narcotics Cell for possessing hydroponic weed and commercial quantities of MDMA and Ecstasy powder, all worth Rs 4.20 lakh from Assagao. He was subsequently remanded to seven days of police custody.
In 2018 Walke was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Goa unit for trafficking LSD, Cocaine, Ecstasy and Ganja. In 2021, during the follow-up investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the NCB had again arrested Walke, for possession of commercial quantity LSD blots.
The ED, officials said, is now seeking case details pertaining to these old cases from the ANC as the history-sheeter's links with a Nigerian drug peddler had also come to the fore.
