Upset over roads filled with potholes in Mapusa, a group of activists staged a protest near a pothole at Khorlim on Saturday.

They have threatened to march to the Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) if the roads are not repaired within two days.

On Saturday, the activists left paper boats, fake notes and gravel, cement blocks and cricket pads, while some activists wore helmets to highlight the plight of the potholes in the municipality.

Congress leader Vijay Bhike, Councillor Adv Shanshak Narvekar, Chandan Mandrekar, Shiv Sena State Chief Jitesh Kamat, Sitesh More and others were present during the protest.

“Common citizens have had to face problems due to potholes. Many people get injured, and vehicles get damaged. If the potholes are not repaired by Monday, we will march to the municipal council,” said Bhike.
