Actress booked in Chapoli Dam vulgar video case

CANACONA
Faced with six different complaints, Canacona police on Wednesday registered a case against an actress in connection with an obscene and vulgar video clip filmed at the Chapoli Dam.

Sources said the police is expected to summon the actress to Goa for questioning in the case.

Allabakash Kundagaol, Assistant Engineer at the WRD in Canacona, had filed a police complaint stating that sometime before November 2, an unknown accused committed an obscene act of vulgar videography of singing and dancing in an open public space at Chapoli Dam.

Acting on the WRD complaint, Canacona police has registered a case under Section 294 IPC (obscenity in a public place).

Canacona police also confirmed that no specific person has been booked in the case.

When contacted, Canacona LPSI Rifha Barretto, who was the Inquiry Officer in the case, said the police has added additional Sections 292, 293 and Section 4 read with 6 of indecent representation of Women's Act 1986, and Section 67 of IT Act in connection with the FIR regarding the obscene video clip.

“The case is now transferred to the Canacona police inspector and the investigation will be done by the PI. No one has been named in the FIR and no fresh FIR can be registered now, but other sections, if needed, can be added,” said LPSI Rifha Barretto.
