Aditya Thackeray, a prominent leader of Shiv Sena, Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment for the Government of Maharashtra and son of Chief Minister of Maharashtra will actively campaign in Goa during the upcoming Vidhansabha election 2022.
Shiv Sena Goa in-charge and Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena local general secretary Milind Gauns and state President Jitesh Kamat conducted a meeting on Monday about the future plans of the party during assembly elections.
It has been decided that Shiv Sena will contest at least 25 seats in the state. It has also been decided that the prominent ministers and MLA's from Maharastra will come to Goa for the campaigns.
The primary planning for Maharastra Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray's campaign tour to Goa will be done in the meeting.
"Although the exact schedule of the campaign tour of Aditya Thackeray has not been chalked out yet, the tour has been planned. Before that Aditya Thackeray will have a word with the press persons of Goa," said Jitesh Kamat, president Goa Shiv Sena.
The Shiv Sena has decided to contest at least 25 seats in Goa, said Kamat.
He added that presently, the party has decided to go alone, and in case if any alliance has to be done, the party will claim at least 16 seats in the seat-sharing arrangements.
