The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has urged the secondary and higher secondary schools to become nodal centres for SATHEE (Self-Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams), a new platform by Union Ministry of Education, which aims to provide students the opportunity for a self-paced interactive learning and assessment platform to prepare for various competitive entrance exams, virtually.
SATHEE, launched in 2023, offering free AI enabled mentoring and academic support was created by IIT-Kanpur and is successfully implemented in the States like Punjab, Jharkhand and Union Territory Daman and Diu.
In a circular issued, GBSHSE Chairman Bhagirath Shetye has asked schools to appoint a senior teacher as a nodal officer for implementation of the initiative so that the students from Goa can take the benefit.
He said that the Ministry of Education in collaboration with IIT Kanpur has launched SATHEE - a free AI enabled learning and mentorship platform for students of Classes 9-12 and beyond to prepare for board and competitive examinations. He said that there is no cost incurred to school or students for being part of it.
Shetye said that the initiative has got AI based analytics to track student performance and learning outcomes.
The key features include 10,000 hours of video lectures by IIT professors and subject experts, 80,000 plus practice questions mapped to NCERT and board syllabus with solutions and foundation classes for Class 9-10 in Mathematics and Science. It also offers daily live doubt clearing sessions and mentorships by IIT and AIIMS students and cash courses and workshops for JEE, NEET, CLAT, ICAR, SSC, IBPS and RRB.
Shetye said that in Punjab, SATHEE live classes in 569 government schools led to a 74 per cent rise in JEE qualifiers and NEET qualifiers increased from 335 to 497 in just one year from 20024 to 2025.
