Late night shoppers will be in for a treat as “After Hours”, Goa’s first indoor night market will begin in 1930-Vasco Mall on Saturday and will be conducted on the last Saturday of every month.
Addressing a news conference in Vasco to provide further details about the indoor night market, the organisers, Cheerkart Events, said Goa’s first Indoor Night Market will be hosted by 1930-Vasco Mall on Saturday and will be conducted from 6 pm to about 2 am on the last Saturday of every month till September.
“The indoor night market will comprise a night flea market with exclusive stalls selling a wide range of creative, handmade products made by locals, creative painting (without using paintbrushes), competition for Kids by WonderKidz, live screening of FIFA World Cup, games and innovative contests for all age groups, music, entertainment and giveaways, besides live music by local artistes. We expect a minimum footfall of 700-1000 people per night,” said Puja Mapxencar of Cheerkart Events.
“There would be food stalls with a variety of food and cocktails, a surprise flash mob and music video launch of the all-Goan Metal band, ‘Within Ceres’.”
In addition, there will be a special performance by Ashweta Mamledar from the Berkeley College of Music who will be playing acoustic pop and country music with Yash on the console with deep house and melodic techno, said Mapxencar.
Meanwhile, the Monsoon Splurge, a day-long pop-up market, will be brought back for the second season, to provide a platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.
