AIR music contest awards declared
PANAJI: The results of the AIR Music Competition-2016 were declared by the Directorate of All India Radio.
In the Hindustani classical music category, Charudatta Mahadev Gawas representing Panaji centre bagged the special prize for harmonium recital. In the Western music instrumental section, Selvyn Joao Carmino Braganza representing Panaji centre won the first prize in violin.
The competition was held in various categories like Hindustani classical music (vocal & instrumental), light classical music, light music, gazal, devotional, Karnatak music and Western music (vocal & instrumental) in the various centres of All India Radio all over the country.
