Fourteen locations in Goa have been identified to monitor ambient air quality for two years from November and the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has initiated a tender process to pick qualified organisations to manage the stations there.
Online bids have been invited by the GSPCB from eligible organisations to execute the ambient air-quality monitoring work at these 14 specified locations.
These 14 locations are in addition to the ones where ambient air quality is already being monitored in the State.
The actual air quality monitoring work, according to the conditions specified in the tender, has to begin in November this year and carry on until October of 2024 and the aggregate cost has been pegged at Rs 5.54 crore.
Bids are also sought by the GSPCB tor the same two-year period to provide additional air quality monitoring systems to manage the work related to complaints and also statutory compliances.
