Akasa Air announces flights from Mopa

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, has announced that it will be adding new Manohar International Airport at Mopa as its 12th destination in the country. 

The airline will offer two daily flights from Goa to Bengaluru and two daily flights from Goa to Mumbai. 

According to a statement issued by the airlines, flights to Bengaluru will start on January 11, and the frequency will increase to three daily flights from February 1, 2023. 

Tata SIA Airlines Limited, which owns Vistara Airlines, has also started recruitment for ground handling staff and security officers for the airport.

Meanwhile, IndiGo had announced that it will have 12 daily domestic flights to and from Mopa starting Day One of the new airport.

While Go First had said that it would operate 42 direct flights every week from the airport.
