Aldona MLA welcomes transfer of Goa DGP

Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira has welcomed the Ministry of Home Affairs’ decision to relieve IPS officer Jaspal Singh as Director General of Police (DGP) of Goa. Ferreira, who first exposed the involvement of a high-ranking IPS officer in Assagao case - where a house was illegally partially demolished - had demanded Singh’s removal. Anjuna police inspector Prashal Desai’s statement to investigators implicated the DGP, confirming Ferreira’s allegations.
