Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has announced that all necessary infrastructure for the South District Hospital is in place and emphasised the importance of completing the project within six months to create a centre of excellence. He highlighted that many patients from South Goa are currently referred to Goa Medical College (GMC), where doctors are doing an excellent job. However, he noted the urgent need for refurbishment and upgrading of Primary Health Centres (PHCs) to improve healthcare services in the region.
