Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said work to repair a valve at the Amthane Dam is being expedited using modern technology and is expected to be completed in the next 10 days.
Sawant was speaking to media persons after inspecting the ongoing repair work at the Amthane Dam on Monday. He discussed ongoing work with the officials and contractors, while directing them to complete the work at the earliest while ensuring high quality.
The chief minister also hoped that there will be abundant rain and that the dam would fill to the required levels within short time.
“All precautions have been taken while undertaking the repair work and modern machinery along with skilled manpower have been called in from other states for this purpose. A reputed company in Goa has guaranteed to complete the work within the 10 days,” said Sawant.
