Anjuna police on Tuesday busted an online sex racket and rescued eight women, while also arresting Filalal Sheikh (25) from Mumbai in this connection.
According to reports, Anjuna police was tipped off that some girls had been forced into prostitution through an online sex racket.
Anjuna police team laid a trap near Starco junction at about 4 pm and nabbed the accused, Sheikh, and three women.
During interrogation, Sheikh confessed to running a prostitution racket.

rmation, Anjuna police raided various places in Anjuna and Arpora, where they rescued five more women.
Police said the women hailed from Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
Investigations revealed that the online sex racket was being operated from Mumbai and Sheikh used to provide the women to customers.
Police also seized two rented bikes GA-08-U-2674 and GA-08-U-2673 which were used in the prostitution racket.
