The Anjuna-Caisua gram sabha was postponed on Sunday due to the absence of the Panchayat Secretary, who was on leave, and the Sarpanch, who was ill. Resident Ramesh Naik proposed a resolution to reschedule the gram sabha for July 21, which was unanimously approved by the villagers present.
Naik explained that without the panchayat secretary and the sarpanch, it would not be possible to obtain satisfactory information from the deputy sarpanch or the temporary panchayat secretary. Consequently, the temporary secretary and the deputy sarpanch endorsed the resolution, and the decision was made to hold the gram sabha on July 21.
Deputy Sarpanch Agnes Carvalho, temporary Panchayat Secretary Dinesh Chodankar, and Calangute Panchayat Clerk Gerald Lopes attended the meeting as observers.
