Even as taximen continue their agitation against app-based taxi services in the State, ‘Apna Bhada’ another taxi aggregator hit the Goan roads on Friday.
Presently, GoaMiles is also operating in the State.
Virtually inaugurated on Friday, ‘Apna Bhada’ began business with 22 taxis. “We will offer a safe, transparent and reasonable taxi service to locals as well as tourists,” said Murtaja Ali, founder and owner of ‘Apna Bhada’ who was accompanied by CIO Ankur Chaddha and CHO Ayasha at the ceremony.
‘Apna Bhada’ is operated by Reliance company. Ayasha announced the names of the 22 taxi owners/drivers who will begin operating under the app.
After the initial 22 taxis, other vehicles will also begin their operations in the next few weeks, stated Ali. ‘Apna Bhada’ will work towards brining positivity among those who were, initially, reluctant to accept the concept of app-based taxi service operation in the State and this will definitely allow the customers avail quality service, added Ali.
Presently, there is a clash between local taxi owners and app-based taxi service operators. On the backdrop of this, ‘Apna Bhada’ has entered the field, with a motive to offer quality and safe taxi service to the domestic and international tourists who come to Goa”, Ali said.
CIO Ankur Chaddha briefed the concept of ‘Apna Bhada’ to the audience and explained how to download the app, avail the service and pay the rental charges. For the coming two months, those who are travelling to Goa by air, will be offered free taxi service between ‘airport to airport’ by ‘Apna Bhada’, Chaddha announced and informed further that Firoz Aga will work as business associate of ‘Apna Bhada’ in Goa.
