"The Rs 6.05 crore project includes hotmixing of a 6 km stretch of the National Highway 17. The tender was estimated at 8.14 crore, but the contractor has quoted Rs 6.05 crore. The 6-km work will be taken up from Sada while covering Vasco city till Vaddem and this works will be completed by May 15 or before the monsoons,” said Pauskar.

“The pending work of a 1-km sewerage pipeline will be completed within the next 12 days,” he said.

Urban Development Minister Milind Naik said they did not celebrate the chief minister’s birthday on account of the Covid pandemic, but decided to mark the occasion by launching a development related project in Sada.

“While work to hotmix highway roads will be taken up, it will also be extended to internal roads and sewerage work will also be taken up.”

“These works will be carried out at night and will be completed at the earliest. While I thank the PWD minister for taking these works on priority, I request people to cooperate while these works are being taken up," said Naik.
