Another case against Vasco mum-son duo for cheating Dabolim resident of Rs 18.45 lakh

Vasco police on Saturday registered yet another offence against Uma Patil and her son Shubham on charges of cheating a Dabolim resident to the tune of Rs 18.45 lakh on the pretext of offering government jobs.

This is the fourth offence registered against Uma Patil and the second one against the mother-son duo.

According to a complaint by Gitesh Gopal Naik, the accused Uma Patil and her son Shubham on November 2, 2020, had induced him to pay Rs 18.45 lakh on the pretext of providing him a government job in the RTO department and his wife Sonali Naik in the electricity department.

After he paid the amount, both accused did not provide them the jobs nor did they return the money.

Vasco police have registered an offence and further investigation is being carried out in the Vasco police station.
