Any party entering Mormugao does not matter: Vasco BJP Block

VASCO
Former Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) chairperson and Vasco BJP Mandal President on Friday said the BJP was would not be affected by any party entering Mormugao prior to upcoming assembly elections.

Naik was speaking to reporters after he along with MMC Vice Chairperson Shraddha Mahale and MMC Councillor Devita Arolkar inaugurated the Rajasthan Grameen Mela in Vasco along with the organiser Mahavir Challani.

“Goa Forward has announced its entry in Mormugao but there is no other party besides BJP which is active in the taluka. We have never see any other party events in Vasco or in the taluka. The Congress, Goa Forward and MGP are not active here and neither do they have an organisation or blocks here,” said Naik.

“These parties are on a spree to visit leaders in a bid to get a good candidate. I challenge these parties to fight independently with the BJP and win in any of the four constituencies in the taluka instead of waiting for an alliance with the sole purpose to defeat the BJP.”

Naik said Mormugao taluka would always remain with the BJP, irrespective of any particular party arriving in Vasco.
