Assistance provided to 'pilot' kin

BICHOLIM: The Motorcycle Taxi Association from Chorao provided financial assistance of Rs 30,000 through group insurance and Annodaya scheme to the family of a member of the association, late Damodar Sawant from Chorao-Divgi, who died recently.

Damodar is survived by his wife, two children and a mother. His family members were facing financial crunch after the untimely death of their earning family member. The members of the Motorcycle Taxi Association came forward and completed all the formalities required to avail the benefit to the family members.

The cheque was handed over by the Association’s senior member Ramchandra Kundaikar in the presence of president Suresh Thakur and other members, Gurudas Naik, Rajendra Kundaikar and Vinod Assagaonkar.

Crime Branch to file supplementary chargesheet proving trail of money

Crime Branch of Goa Police has prepared the supplementary chargesheet in the Louis Berger bribery case proving the trail of money in the matter through a 2012-13 report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, a technical expert committee report, supported by witnesses.
