Assonora woman ends life

A 41-year-old women committed suicide at her residence in Assonora on Saturday morning.
Mapusa Police informed that Veena Banaulikar of Moitem-Assonora used to constantly have fights with her husband and children.
On Saturday, she had a tiff with her children in the morning. Thereafter, the husband left for his shop and the children too stepped out of the home.
At around 11 am, Veena called her daughter and threatened on the phone that she would commit suicide.
Later, the daughter along with her father rushed home only to find her body hanging from a fan.
Mapusa police conducted the panchanama and sent the body for postmortem. PSI Arun Andrew is investigating the case.
