PANAJI: Anti-Terrorism Squad of Goa Police on Sunday conducted a thorough check of all major transport hubs and tourist locales across the State ahead of DefExpo 2016 which will be inaugurated at Naqueri-Betul on Monday.
Highly placed sources from ATS informed that among the spots checked during the day were the Panaji bus stand, Margao bus stand, Margao railway station and Vasco railway station with the district Quick Response Teams of ATS combing the areas within their respective jurisdiction.
The area outside the Dabolim airport was also checked.
The intelligence arm of ATS is also keeping a close watch on all lodges and other small rented living spaces with the identity proofs and check-ins being monitored.
