Science and Technology Minister, Atanasio Monserrate on Tuesday has assured to enhance government funding to push the Start-Up culture in the state.In fact, he said he would take up the matter with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to increase funding to give a big boost to Start-Ups in the state.
Monserrate made the announcement during the visit to the Forum for Incubation Innovation Research and Entrepreneurship (FiiRE) at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda along with Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai in the presence of GSINC Chairman Jose Manual Noronha, DST&WM Director Levinson Martins and Secretary Dr Tariq Thomas.
Monserrate appreciated Goa state Innovation Council's Virtual Innovation Register for getting listed in the "E coffee table book" on select priority programmes from prime minister's awards for excellence in public administration 2021 which was released on April 21 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While giving credit for the achievement to the young minds for bringing laurels and pride to the state, the Minister assured an increase in funding to the startup ecosystem in Goa.
The delegation along with the Minister visited the FiiRE premises and met and interacted with Incubatees who are housed at FiiRE. They also visited the prototyping lab of the Goa State Innovation Council, which is also housed at Don Bosco.
