President of All Goa Bakers & Confectioners Association Peter Fernandes has thanked Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat for raising his voice and suggesting the government to help Goa's traditional bakers who are toiling to retain the flavor of the traditional Unddo.
He said the Goan bakers strongly believe that the bakers should give the right price and weight price, besides hygienic products to the consumers. “Our bread priced at Rs 5 should be 50 grams. It’s the right of the consumers to insist that the bread weigh 50 grams. But, the consumer should also consider on humanitarian grounds that it is difficult to maintain the weight when they make hundreds of Pao every day”, he said.
Peter has also appealed to the consumer to carry their own carry bags when they come to purchase the bread.
