Fernandes was one of the two riders whose scooter collided against a Maharashtra registered Innova car. Pandu Shetye (49) of Vasco succumbed to his injuries the same day, while Fernandes died while undergoing medical treatment in GMC on Tuesday morning.
Fernandes, a PE teacher at Fr Agnel High School at Pilar, is survived by his father, wife and a one-year-old child.
Fr Agnel High School headmaster Fr Richard Crasto expressed grief saying he has lost a skillful and good PE teacher. “Fr Agnel High School will always remember Kevoy’s contribution to the field of education,” he said.
The funeral will be held at Santa Cruz Church cemetery on Wednesday.
