Ban on kites around airport
PANAJI: The south District Magistrate has ordered and imposed a complete ban on activities involving use of lantern kites, wish kites especially during festivals within 2 kms of Dabolim Airport boundary to avoid danger to aircrafts during landing and takeoff for a period of 60 days with effect from October 25.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India during its periodic meetings has raised the issue of use of lantern, wish kites especially during festivals in the vicinity of the Dabolim Airport which poses danger to the safety of an aircraft during landing and takeoff.
