I can assure him that the inspection of the meat or beef which comes from neighbouring states will be carried out through proper medical doctors or those who are authorised for it, rather than by some other person,” assured Chief Minister.rRaising the issue, Cabral pointed out that the Qureshi traders in Goa procure beef from outside the State directly.r“When we have a modern abattoir, why are they allowed to bring in frozen meat from outside Goa,” he questioned.r“Unauthorised persons are carrying out inspection of meat being brought into Goa. It is not inspected by doctors which puts to doubt the hygiene of the meat for consumption. If people like labourers, bull attendants or some veterinary assistants, who are not authorised to carry out the inspection of meat, do it then it can be dangerous for health. It is not correct and this procedure should not be followed.
