The Arihant Hospital at Nehrunagar-Belagavi has introduced healthcare under the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) for the benefit of Goans.
The hospital which is rendering multiple health services under the guidance and leadership of noted cardiac surgeon Dr M D Dixit has earned a reputation within a very short period of its launch.
“We have a number of patients from Goa who keep inquiring us about the DDSSY. We have introduced this scheme in our hospital, under which free treatment will be given to patients with heart-related diseases. I appeal to Goans to take advantage of the same,” Dr Dixit said.
The hospital is serving to treat patients for various ailments to create a healthy society. Under the DDSSY scheme, health services are being provided up to Rs 2.5 lakh to families with less than 3 to 4 members and up to Rs 4 lakh to families with more than 4 to 5 members.
“Heart surgery is scary as it involves huge costs, however, with the introduction of the scheme, many Goans can get the benefit,” Dr Dixit said.
“Apart from heart disease, bypass, valve replacement, heart hole, treatments for liver cancer, appendix, stomach tumour removal, spine surgery, brain surgery, joint replacement, knee surgery, etc. are also done free of charge under the scheme.”
“Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana is a boon for poor patients from Goa who will get free treatment under this scheme. The hospital is well equipped to render world-class health services,” Dr Dixit added.
