The Colva police arrested persons from Benaulim in connection with the theft that had taken place in a bungalow in Benaulim some time back.
The police have arrested Kennedy Mario Da Cunha and Frazer Fernandes in the wee hours of Wednesday after they were picked up for interrogations on Tuesday evening.
In a statement, the police has claimed to have recovered stolen property including 11 wooden doors, 10 wooden chairs, three LED TVs, two single seater sofa, two garden chairs, two Microwave oven, two water purifier, one inverter, one vaccum cleaner, one small ladder, one antique metallic lamp, two WC, four steel towel stand, two irons, one induction, two ceiling, bathroom fittings, latches of door, windows, stoppers, large handles of doors etc, one box containing eighteen glass, one box containing crockery items, one box containing electrical items such as MCB LED lights, switch board etc, 22 One bag containing Curtain holders, metallic Buddha statue, one copper water bottle, 24 Glass containing pyramid top, besides other items.
The police had registered an offense upon the complaint of Mukesh Kumar, resident of Andheri West, Mumbai stating that unknown accused person broke open the rear door of the bungalow situated at Vasvaddo, Benaulim and committed theft of a number of household items.
The duo was picked up for interrogation by the police on Tuesday evening after verification of the preliminary inputs.
Meanwhile, the police said the duo have been interrogated in connection with another theft of household items including a main door, four balcony doors, five bedroom roods etc at Benaulim. A complaint to this effect was lodged with the police by Alva Rodrigues, a resident of Navelim.
The police is investigating.
