Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias along with TCP and Cuncolim Municipal officials descended on the Panzorconne hill cutting site to verify and check the claims made by the land developer.
The joint inspection of the site in question, which had generated much heat in the Cuncolim Municipal area, will take place at a later date in the presence of the complainants.
The Cuncolim MLA told the media that the inspection was carried out just to find whether the developer had adhered to the claims made by him while undertaking the work.
“The developer has claimed he has all the permissions to undertake the work. A joint inspection of the site will be carried out now in the presence of the complainants, who had raised a host of objections to the project”, the MLA said.
After the uproar raised by the local people against the project, the developer has erected a board at the site displaying the TCP permission and the NOC issue by the Cuncolim Municipal Council.
The MLA said the CMC has only issued a provisional NOC for the development, adding that the truth will come out during the joint inspection to be fixed by the Cuncolim Municipal Council.
