A group of Tourists from Bengalaru realised the bitter truth for cooking in a public place. A bus load of tourists, comprising of families, including children, were taken to the Fatorda police station late Monday evening, when they were found cooking right outside the South Goa district Collectorate.
As the tourist bus was parked alongside the road and the occupants busy preparing the meal right outside the main gate, someone called up the police to inform about the nuisance.
Fatorda police inspector Navlesh Desai informed that the bus along with the occupants were taken to the police station for an inquiry.
He said the tourists had come to the state in the morning and were returning home when they stopped late this evening outside the Collectorate complex without realizing that they were camping and cooking just outside the seat of the district administration.
PI Navlesh informed that the tourists were explained that it’s an offense to cook food at public places and will be also liable for creating nuisance by disposing of their waste at public places.
He said the tourist bus driver will be booked under section 34 of the Indian Police Act for creating nuisance at public places before allowing the tourists to continue their journey back home.
