Bharatiya Sanskriti Mandal marks Holi celebration in Curchorem

The Bharatiya Sanskriti Mandal organised its annual Holi celebration in the Curchorem region, bringing together over 150 businessmen and professionals from the area. The event was held this year at the farmhouse of Anand Prabhudesai at Cacora.

According to organisers, the annual programme is aimed at providing an opportunity for people from different states residing in the region to celebrate the festival locally, particularly those unable to travel to their native places.

The celebration featured music and cultural performances, including a Kalbelia dance presentation from Rajasthan. Participants from various states took part in the festivities.

Meanwhile, Holi was also celebrated in several rural parts of Sanguem taluka. In some villages, traditional bonfires were lit, while in others coconut and mango trees were decorated as part of the festivities. Youth were seen participating in Rang Holi celebrations across different areas.

However, due to a lunar eclipse coinciding with the festival, celebrations in certain places were observed in a restrained manner.
