Officials of the Goa State Biodiversity Board and DSLR descended at Curtorim as part of the process to mark the survey numbers of the village lakes for the finalisation of the Curtorim biodiversity heritage sites.

The team of officials later had an interaction with village Sarpanch Alcina D’Silva, besides Chairperson of the Curtorim Biodiversity Board J Santan Rodrigues and others.

The team of officials from the two agencies had come down to the village after the Panchayat had requested the two departments to depute officials on November 22 to the village panchayat to carry out the assigned work.

A total of six lakes from Curtorim have been proposed for notification as biodiversity heritage sites. They include the Ralloi Tollem, Angdi Tollem, Sonbem (Maina) Tollem, Mai Tollem, Kum Tollem and Gud Tollem.
