BITS Pilani student tops CAT-2016
PANAJI: Avidipto Chakraborty, a student of BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus, topped CAT-2016 with a 100 percentile score, beating 2.3 lakh applicants competing for admission to the prestigious Indian Institute of Management and other elite business schools. Focusing on mock tests and the analysis generated therein, he pulled off this academic achievement without enrolling for coaching classes.
Avidipto has several achievements to his credit. A 2012 batch student, he holds the first rank in the Economics Department at BITS Goa and has also been the chief coordinator (head) of the department of Sponsorship and Management, a student body. He also co-founded Xinger, an online food-delivery service popular among students. Currently in his final year, Avidipto is interning with Nomura Services India Pvt Ltd. He has landed a job as Business Analyst at McKinsey and Co.
