The BJP distributed national flags to the CCP corporators at a function organised at Panaji MLA Babush Monserrate's office at Miramar on Tuesday.
The flags were given to be distributed among people to hoist them on their houses from August 13 to 15, as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' celebration.
Present for the function was State BJP President Sadanand Tanavade, Panaji MLA Babush Monserrate, CCP Mayor Rohit Monserrate and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Tanavade said the youngest child from the family should hoist the flag. He also said the flags need not be removed during the nighttime as that restriction has been removed.
“Such programmes of flags distribution will be held in other constituencies as well,” Tanavade informed.
“In constituencies not represented by BJP, the senior leaders will hold the function,” Tanavade said and added that the flags will be given to all irrespective of party affiliation.
