Govt, Isha Outreach to sign MoU on August 23

Taking forward the ‘Save Soil’ campaign initiated by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev on a global scale, the Goa government, in association with the Environment and Weather department, will be signing an MoU with Isha Outreach on August 23 at 4 pm at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in presence of Sadhguru, stated Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday while addressing the press in Panaji.
The programme is free and open for everybody; however, a prior registration is mandatory, stated the CM. The programme will be attended by Union minister Shripad Naik, environment minister Nilesh Cabral and other ministers as well as MLAs. Sadhguru will be addressing the audience on this occasion.
It is to be noted that Isha Outreach has already signed such MoUs with the governments in States like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc, deliberated Dr Sawant and appealed that the people of Goa should avail the opportunity to listen to Sadhguru by attending the programme in large numbers. Sadhguru will be felicitated by the Goa government during the event.
The MoU signed between Goa government and Isha Outreach will facilitate the joint ventures to protect food, sustainable food system, sustainable agriculture system, natural and organic farming etc. The chief minister appealed that youth and NGOs working for the conservation of the environment should participate in the programmes and extend their support.

The global campaign
Sadhguru initiated the Save Soil campaign on a global scale on March 21 this year and called it soil erosion. The death of fertile soil across the planet will endanger the human species, and hence the campaign to save the soil has been kick-started. Sadhguru travelled on a motorbike to 27 countries covering 30,000 km in 100 days, culminating the ride at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.
