The BJP has called for an emergency meeting of its legislature party in Goa on Monday even as uncertainty prevailed over the health of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who is being treated at GMC.
The BJP legislature party is slated to meet at the party headquarters at Panjim on Monday morning at 10.30 am.
Earlier on Sunday, the Advocate General of Goa, D Lawande called on the Governor Mridula Sinha at her official residence at the Cabo Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has appealed for restraint and urged people “not to speculate” on the health of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who has been hospitalized at the Goa Medical College in Bambolim since Saturday night.
Rane visited the GMC on Sunday and insisted that Parrikar is stable and has been admitted only for observation. He also took to Twitter to post updates on the chief minister’s health and advise restraint from speculating.
Rane tweeted on Sunday night at 9.36 pm: “Met the Hon’ble CM @manoharparrikar ji today evening to check up on his health. Dr Garg who managed his case in #AIIMS, met him and made changes in his medication. He is holding onto fine on his parameters, is stable and active.”
