Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message to elected representatives to be servants and to serve people instead of being leaders.
Fernandes was speaking at the launch of the Seva-Saptah to mark the week-long celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 70th birthday.
On Thursday, Fernandes distributed fruits to patients at the Canacona Community Health Centre and Covid patients under home quarantine in Canacona constituency. He was accompanied by BJP Canacona Block President Mahesh Naik, Block General Secretary Suraj Desai, CMC Chairperson Nitu Desai, sarpanchas, panchas, councillors and other BJP office-bearers.
Fernandes also appealed to party leaders and workers in the taluka to devote themselves to serve the common man, especially the downtrodden and needy.
On Friday, Canacona BJYM organised a blood donation camp and 45 youth from Canacona donated blood.
