Lambasting the opposition politicos for staying away from the people during Covid-19 pandemic, state BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade on Saturday sang in praise of leaders from his party for being with the masses despite many contracting the deadly virus during Covid crisis.
Of the top leaders of BJP in the State who have tested Covid positive and recovered are Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Ayush Minister Shripad Naik, MLAs Dayanand Sopte, Clafacio Dias, and Fransico Silveira.
Many BJP MLAs and members have tested positive for Covid-19 as a result of being in close contact with people of Goa, said Tanavade.
Praising Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, he said despite testing positive for Covid-19 and remaining home quarantined for 17 days, the chief minister continued working from home.
BJP functionaries including the Chief Minister and others attended the BJP state executive meet held on Saturday through virtual mode. BJP will commence training of its cadres from October 15 in view of the assembly elections scheduled in 2022.
