Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary B L Santosh on Tuesday chaired an important party meeting in Goa following the Zilla Panchayat (ZP) election results.
The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, BJP Goa president Damu Naik, ministers and party MLAs. It began around 9 pm and ended at about 10.30 pm at the BJP headquarters in Panaji.
Santosh did not comment on the discussions. However, Sawant said the national general secretary reviewed the party’s performance in the ZP elections and offered suggestions to the State unit.
Sawant said the meeting also focused on preparations for upcoming elections and party programmes, with Santosh guiding the State leadership.
Responding to Congress claims of winning 27 seats in the 2027 Assembly elections, Damu Naik dismissed the statement. “Let them keep dreaming. We are focused on practical work and are on the ground,” he said.
