BJP will provide stable govt: Parrikar

Asserting that BJP would provide a stable and development-oriented government in the State, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said the party was positive to achieve its target of 26 seats, as it has received tremendous support from people in rnthe Mahamelava.

“Over 25 per cent of the public attended our Mahamelavas held in around 19 constituencies in the State so far for the last one-and-half month. With this strength, we will complete our target of winning 26 seats,” Parrikar said.   
The Defence Minister was speaking at the Vijay Sankalp Mahamelava in Calangute in the presence of Chief Minister, Laxmikant Parsekar, Deputy Chief Minister, Francis D’Souza, Calangute MLA, Michael Lobo, party president, Vinay Tendulkar and other leaders.   
Speaking further, he said BJP will provide a strong and stable government and focus on developing major infrastructure in the State.   
Recalling his tenure as the first BJP chief minister of Goa, he said from 1998 to 2000 Goa saw 13 ministers and he was sworn in as the 13th chief minister. “I showed the way that BJP could govern the State admirably, and we built around 17 bridges in the State,” he said.   
He said BJP could provide a stable government only on the backing of infrastructure development and it appealed to the people of Goa.
