BJP Zilla Panchayat candidate for the Penha de Franca constituency, Sandip Salgaonkar, launched his election campaign on Tuesday after seeking blessings at the Shree Vetal Maharudra Chavadeshwar temple. He was joined by Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Ashok Khaunte, Penha de Franca Sarpanch Sapnil Chodankar and ruling-side panch members. Salgaonkar said his priority is to develop the Penha de Franca ZP area and complete all pending works. He expressed confidence of receiving strong support from voters, saying residents know his capability and have stood by him.
