Blood donation camp held at Sal
BICHOLIM: Industrialist Vivekanand Naik has described the act of donating blood as a superior form of donation, given its ability to save lives.
He was addressing the blood donation camp organised by Shivaji Sports and Cultural Club, Sal, in association with the GMC Blood Bank, in the premises of Government Primary School at Sal-Bicholim.
Those present at the camp included social worker Rajaram Sawant, Nitin Naik, Madhuri Sawant, retired headmaster Chandrakant Gawas, Chetan Chawan and Dr Sanjay Korgaonkar.
A number of villagers and members participated in the blood donation.
Earlier, the Shivaji Sports and Cultural Club president Ramdas Warak welcomed the gathering, while Harsha Parab proposed the vote of thanks.
