Body washed ashore at Galgibaga beach

A highly decomposed male body was washed ashore at Galgibaga beach on Friday morning.

After being notified of the body, the Canacona Police went to the site and later sent the body for an autopsy at Margao.

Police said there was no missing report of any person with the Canacona police station.

According to Canacona PSI Ramchandra Naik, the deceased is fair in complexion, over 60 years and had been wearing shorts.

Police has sent details of the body to other police stations in the State and the Karwar police in Karnataka, as efforts are underway to identify the body.
